Axle Problems

Clearance between the caravan wheel and the wheel arch seem lower than normal? This could indicate a problem with the axle. We are seeing this more often, and it doesn’t just apply to older caravans– the newest caravan we have seen this happen to, so far, was just two years old. This can be caused by over-loading but it is not necessarily the only reason.

An annual service can pick up this problem and is just another example why regular servicing is highly recommended.

We are able to replace or refurbish caravan axles and, depending on the age and manufacturer, we often advise refurbishment as the better option.
