Habitation Service
If you require just a habitation service for your caravan – maybe it’s on a seasonal pitch and therefore not being towed – this reduced service might be more appropriate.
Our Habitation Service includes the following:
Bodywork Inspection
- Check doors & windows
- Check floor
- Check furniture
- Check blinds & flyscreens
- Check rising roof (if applicable)
- Check for water ingress & delamination – damp test, separate report supplied
Water System
- Check water pump & pressure switch/microswitches
- Check taps, valves, pipes & tank (if fitted)
- Check water inlets
- Check waste system
- Check toilet operation
Electrical System – 230V & 12V
- Check leisure battery (if fitted)
- Check interior lighting & equipment
- Check awning light
- Check wiring on ELV circuits (visual)
- Check Low Voltage inlet plug & extension lead
- Check earth bonding with continuity test
- Check 230V consumer unit, load test RCD
- Check 230V sockets
- Check charge voltage
- Check operation of all 230V appliances, fans & luminaries
- Check all aftermarket items
Ventilation
- Check fixed ventilation (low & high level)
- Check rooflights
LPG Gas System (appliances not serviced unless requested)
- Check regulator, gas hose, pipework & manifold
- Check gas system – carry out gas soundness test
- Check operation of all gas appliances, including FFD’s
- Check security of gas cylinders
- Check to ensure all gas dispersal vents are clear
Fire & Safety
- Check smoke alarm (if fitted)
- Check carbon monoxide alarm (if fitted)
- Check security of fire extinguisher (if fitted)
Appliance servicing is subject to an additional charge.
Our habitation service inspection is carried out in accordance with the rigorous standards of the NCC Approved Workshop Scheme.
Don’t forget!
If your caravan is still within the manufacturer’s warranty period, or your insurance policy requires it, you may invalidate your policy by not proceeding with a full annual service.
